Honey Hatter takes the place of Fanny Hatter in the movie. It is possible that, in this version, she is the mother of all three daughters. Though she runs the hat shop in Market Chipping still, she spends most of her time in a second hat shop she opened in Kingsbury.
She is forced to plant spying devices in Howl's castle under the pretense of coming to see Sophie.
